Men are never depressed

I got this email thorough one of the yahoo group mails. I found it really funny. Guys and gals can get a kick out of this one.

You can be President. You can never be pregnant. You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park. You can wear NO shirt to a water park. Car mechanics tell you the truth. You never have to drive to another gas station restroom because this one is just too icky. You don't have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt. Same work, more pay. Wrinkles add character. Wedding dress $5000. Tux rental-$100. New shoes don't cut, blister, or mangle your feet. One mood all the time.

Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat. You know stuff about tanks. A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase. You can open all your own jars. You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness. If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still be your friend.

Your underwear is $8.95 for a three-pack. Three pairs of shoes are more than enough. You almost never have strap problems in public. You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes. Everything on your face stays its original color. The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades. You only have to shave your face and neck.

You can play with toys all your life. One wallet and one pair of shoes -- one color for all seasons. You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look. You can 'do' your nails with a pocket knife. You have freedom of choice concerning growing a mustache.

You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on December 24 in 25 minutes.

No wonder men are happier.

Earth hour and Hot tea

Tomorrow (March 28th) is Earth Hour from 8.30 to 9.30 PM. Please switch off all your lights at home/office to show our support to global warming.

I just read in the news that drinking hot tea raises the chances of esophageal cancer. (Tea itself doesn't give cancer. It is god for health.) Just drink it warm or better yet... cold.

So all these years, our parents shouldn't have yelled at us for not drinking our milk/tea/coffee as soon as they give it to us.

Parents, now do you realize why we drink "aari avalana' coffee? See kids are not always dumb. We just had sixth sense about it!





We ended up getting more hail this morning. I am at work and my car is at home. Will find out only in the evening if there is any damage to our cars. March and April are the worst months in Texas - Hail storms, Very heavy rains and ofcourse the famous tornadoes. I think tornadoes are the scariest. Other than these 2 months, the weather is pretty non-dangerous (if tats even a word) over the other months. Comign from Madras, Texas weather is like heaven. Summers are hot, but I can manage.

Yup.. Thats what I did today. Check out my previous blog about the horrible weather today.


I wanted to make something fried. What else is better than having hot samosas and hot tea?


I started by making the filling using potatoes. Next the dough and filled 'em up. Finally I fried the samosas. Hmm.. Smells good. Looks good. and Tastes good too.

Golf size Hail

I expected thunder storm.. But golf size hail????

It started raining around 5.00 PM today. I came home and started to watch TV. Suddenly I heard loud noises.. like something breaking and falling down. Later I realised it was hail. i have never seen hail so big.

The first thing that came to my mind.. Our cars. I had the sense to park both of them under a big oak tree in front of my house.. But was it enough to protect them against hail this bad?

Once the hail stopped, I ran out to check on our babies.... The corolla and the accord. They seemed to be fine... I think.

If something had happened to the Honda, I swear Sree would've gotten so upset

Some came into my patio and hit the patio doors. I thought the glasses were gonna break.

See the white spots..? All Hail. It was still 'hailing' when I went to get these pics and ended up getting hit on my head a couple of times.

I just heard on the news. In the whole of austin, the biggest Hail reports came from my area.

Atleast we are on the news!
